Terms and Conditions



Reservations are made by contacting Christine Chauvin (Limited), hereafter referred to as the “Company” or any authorized booking agent.

The Company will provide and arrange only the itinerary described in the tour. Quoted tour prices include all accommodation, meals (unless otherwise specified), horses and tack, ground transfers, private air charters when necessary, sightseeing, baggage handling, hotel taxes, entrance fees to places of interest, park fees and escort services. Quoted tour prices include planning, handling and operational charges and are based on the current rate of exchange and tariffs at the time of the planning and publication of the tour. In the event of a marked increase in foreign exchange rates or tariff rates, costs are subject to revision.

Itineraries are planned far in advance and changes can occur. We reserve the right to amend such an itinerary at any time if necessary. Any minor changes are always made with the client’s benefit in mind.

Not included in the quoted tour prices are the cost of obtaining passports or visas, travel to and from the commencement of the tour, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (unless otherwise specified) personal expenses, gratuities, excess baggage charges and airport departure taxes.

Important – Riding trips only – The leader of the ride reserves the right to reject any rider for reasons of riding inability or behavior endangering the safety or welfare of the riders or horses. No refund will be made to any rider unable to complete a ride.


Programs are booked and confirmed only upon receipt of a 30% deposit of the basic program rate. The deposit is due within fourteen (14) days of making the reservation. The balance is due ten weeks prior to departure date. If a reservation is made within ten weeks of the departure date, and providing there is still space available, the entire cost is due at the time of confirmation.


The Company must receive any cancellation of a booking in writing. Cancellation charges shall apply in the following circumstances:

  • 91 days or more prior to starting date, $600 non-refundable fee p/person.
  • 90 to 61 days prior to starting date, full deposit is forfeited.
  • 60 to 31 days prior to starting date, 65% of total cost is forfeited.
  • 30 days prior to starting date and “no shows”, total cost is forfeited.


It is your responsibility to ensure that all inoculations and health certificates are obtained and are in order prior to departure.


The Company reserves the right for any photograph or video taken during the tour to be used in any publication or promotional literature distributed by or through the Company.


There are certain inherent risks involved in participating in the type of trips sold by the Company that you accept at your own risk. The Company shall have no responsibility for any riding accident occurring during the tour. It is your sole responsibility to take all appropriate medical advice prior to departure whether or not you are fit enough to undertake the trip booked. If any participant in this tour is a minor, his or her parent and/or guardian must assume full responsibility for all expenses and liabilities of that participant in the tour. It is mandatory you obtain the following types of insurance coverage at the time of booking:

– Trip cancellation 

– Major medical and emergency medical evacuation

– Loss of personal effects

– Accidental death and disability.
